I didn't know this until I read the book 1000 Things to See Before You Die,
but Utah has a ton of national parks in its southern portion - all part
of the Colorado Plateau. We've had a blast visiting the big names in
this region of the country. Not only do they offer landmarks, wildlife,
and vistas unlike anything we've ever seen before, but we've also had a
great time learning about the natural and human history of these parks.
So,
on this day we visited Capitol Reef National Park. A previous day, a
gentleman we ran into told us to not bother with this park as it is "all
gray" and doesn't compare to the rest of the state. If you haven't been
here, use our pictures to decide for yourself. I'll tell you that we
disagreed! And not just because of the pies!!!
