Day 8 - Buffalo National River

On the 8th day of our adventure, we kayaked 8 miles on the Buffalo National River in Arkansas. It was beautiful but difficult, because the water was so low, we kept getting stuck where it was especially shallow. It also might have something to do with the fact that we don't know what we're doing. During the float, we went ashore to hike up to a 224 foot waterfall called Hemmed-in-Hollow. It was probably the highlight of the day. Either that or almost sinking. Anyway, it was a long day but completely worth it. We slept like babies afterwards (11 hours!). We were asleep before it was dark.

  1. I love Amy's matching Sporty outfit. It's perfect for canoeing. (And it matches your tent!)
