Day 28 - Grand Canyon National Park

The behemoth. Large. Colossal. Gargantuan. The Grand Canyon.

This is a place that's on most people's bucket list, and all I can say is I understand why! It's really impossible to picture or describe. We didn't hike into the canyon at all, but simply stopping at the overlooks was more than worth it. It's crowded, the shuttle system is kind of confusing, and the ice cream place closes prematurely at 7 PM, but this is a landmark everyone has to see at least once.

Made it!
First view of the canyon, including the Colorado River
The Grand freaking Canyon
Pano
Desert view tower over to the right
Inside that tower
The ceiling
Greg realizing what's behind him
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! JK That's So Raven... Okay, okay, nevermore with the bird jokes
Selfie
Our campsite
Sun setting on a perfect day (besides the ice cream shop closing)
Day 28 Rating: Pretty grand 10/10

  1. Really no icecream after 7 pm? That's an extremely early last call for you guys. And really, how did cowboys make it to the West? We know how the EAGLES and blackbirds did.
Jeannette and Julia here for the weekend....sun and fun. I called out sick with poison ivy. And another REALLY, ice cream is two words??????

  2. O no!!!! You're not supposed to put stuff on social media about calling out from work. Wait, I mean, that sun made my rash feel better.
