Day 64 - Mackinac Island

On Day 64, we went to Mackinac (pronounced "Mackinaw") Island. This is a very popular vacation spot on Lake Huron known for many things, including its world-famous fudge! Another interesting fact about this island is that they do not allow cars, so the only means of transportation are by foot, bicycle, and horse and buggy. So, in that way, it's kind of like stepping back in time! Oh, and there are a lot of jokes about horse droppings and how they make so much fudge on the island...

We did have a lot of fun, although there wasn't a whole lot to do besides eat and shop. Those are good things, though. We tried to explore the grand hotel (the biggest hotel I've ever seen), but they charged $10 for non-guests to enter! Lame!

At night, we were planning on going to a dark skies park to stargaze, but it was way too cloudy. Instead, we chilled at our motel and swam.
