Chase "the man" Utley announced today that he is going to retire at the end of this season. Of course this comes on the day that we are planning to see him play with the Dodgers at historic Dodger Stadium. Unfortunately Utley didn't get the start, but we were able to cheer him on for his pinch hit single later in the game. I have to say I was disappointed in the Dodger's fans and their lack of appreciation for Chase. That man deserved a standing ovation!
When getting our panorama of the stadium, Greg was approached by a camera man who wanted to film Greg's Utley jersey for the TV broadcast. We waited a few innings and when we finally got the green light for the shot someone stood in front of the camera. Greg's moment to shine will have to wait. Dodger's stadium was really awesome and the views of the mountains behind the stadium were spectacular. It was an exciting game because it was the Freeway Series against the Angels. Dodger's fans definitely drowned out the Angel's fans, especially when they won. We had a great time at Dodger Stadium even though they served us melted ice cream.
