Day 23 - San Diego

We were in San Diego again today, and again we watched the Phillies lose =[ After starting off our day with a 10 -5 defeat to the Miami Marlins, we decided to check out the famous San Diego beaches. Apparently so did everyone else in San Diego. San Diego has some really cute beach towns. We spent a few hours driving around them just looking for a place to park. Eventually we crossed the San Diego Bay into Coronado, found a parking spot, and hit the beach. It wasn't the sunniest day, but we took a short dip in the ocean. When in Coronado! Beautiful beach and beautiful water. We also noticed a hotel called Hotel del Coronado, which looks remarkably similar to the Grand Floridian Resort. After some research, we found that the Grand Floridian was modeled after the Hotel Del Coronado. Pretty neat! We headed back to our hotel to clean up and get ready for dinner. Since we were so close to the Mexican border we decided to get some authentic tacos, and we succeeded! After dinner we went to a local drive in to catch a screening of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The movie wasn't the best, but the popcorn was good!
