Day 24 - Joshua Tree National Park

We woke up, had a great breakfast at our hotel, and hit to road to our next destination, Joshua Tree National Park. Originally, we were planning on camping tonight in Joshua Tree, but there was an extreme heat advisory. Park rangers even dissuaded visitors from hiking because it was so hot! The park has plenty to see by car, so we found some scenic drives and began to explore. The Joshua Tree has a goofy, unique, and beautiful shape. Something we have yet to see! We had a great time exploring this spectacular park! Before we hit the road to find a hotel for the night, we stopped in a local bar to catch the Home Run Derby and cheer on our boy, Rhys Hoskins. Hoskins did well, but not good enough to beat Bryce "future Phillie?" Harper. We booked a hotel on Route 66 for the night to rest our heads and dream of Manny Machado trades.

Found the PCT, but sadly no Reese Witherspoon
A tall Joshua Tree among smaller ones
No one else in sight
Gotta selfie it
5 year olds at heart
Greg behind the wheel!
Neat rock formations

Road side Joshua Trees
Gorgeous sunset to accompany us on our drive
Last remaining light
Hotel Route 66. We thought this was our hotel, but we mistakenly booked Route 66 Hotel, which was down the block.
Day 24 Rating: Spilled laundry detergent in the Rav. Smells like a botanical rain forest. 10/10
