Well, after a series of days with nearly perfect weather, it was about time we had a bit of a wash out. And, it came at a perfect time, because today was the day we stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, Canada. For the second half of the day, we didn't have much planned but to explore the lodge and relax a bit. We also ate in their restaurant. And what a place! It feels surreal that we stayed there. We were on the fifth of six floors and had an amazing view of Upper Waterton Lake. The weather brought extreme winds, and a bellhop at the hotel told us it's the second windiest place in Canada. I believe it! I thought the hotel was going to fall down!
Before check-in, our plan was to explore the Two Medicine Lake section of Glacier National Park and maybe rent a boat. But, because of the weather, we couldn't go onto the lake. Still, we did get to see a different side of the park. A hazy side! We were able to squeeze in a hike before the rain hit. We also stopped back at Saint Mary Visitor Center to catch a film about the park!
