Today was the day. By seeing the Twins at Target field, we have now visited all 30 major league ballparks. Well, sort of, because the Rangers have built a new stadium in Dallas since we saw them in 2018. Oh well! Guess that just means we’ll have to plan another road trip. One day!
Before we went to the Twins game, we visited the Mall of America. What better way to be a tourist in this country than to celebrate consumerism! It was kind of neat, but at the end of the day, it is just a mall. I don’t know what else I expected. It reminded us of King of Prussia mall, which is just another huge … mall. But at least this one has an amusement park in the middle! That’s unique! We actually didn’t ride anything, perhaps only because we were still recovering from Kings Island. But it was neat to look at.
The Twins game was really fun! We didn’t love this ballpark, but we didn’t hate it either. The chicken tenders were, as the kids say, gas. And the game was great. The Twins shut out the Rockies and the place went absolutely… mild. Unbelievably, the game lasted just 2 hours and 10 minutes. Felt like a rip off! We were there and gone in no time.
After the game, we went back to our hotel. You guessed it, another Hyatt!
