Kootenay National Park includes a scenic byway (Banff-Windermere) that connects Radium Hot Springs to Banff National Park. Since Banff was our next destination, we really had no choice but to take this road. And what a road it was! Mountains everywhere, which has simply become the norm. There were also many short hikes along the way, including a few we decided to traverse. I was feeling a little under the weather today, so I didn't get to do as much as I'd have liked. But we saved a couple hikes for the next day, and Amy even took one on our own as I slept in the car!
We eventually made it to Canmore, a town next to Banff that would be our home for the next two nights.
