After our one night stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel, we made time to explore the remainder of Waterton Lakes National Park. This included the town of Waterton, the town's two scenic highways, and a bison paddock! The weather brought a consistent fog and overcast. The trees were all dark and barren. It gave the surrounding mountains an eerie, foreboding element. It was great. We saw a lot of neat things and even braved some snow!
Once we were satisfied with exploring Waterton, we made a long drive to Radium Hot Springs, which is in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. This is a natural hot springs turned into a public swimming pool. The temperature outside was in the low 40s, but the water is around 100 degrees! It was a little strange; we got there around 9 pm, and the pool was still pretty crowded! But once we took a dip, we decided it was worth it. It felt great after a long drive.
To cap off our night, I ate some chips, and we slept at a motel near the hot springs.
