If yesterday was waterfall day, then today was lake day! We visited some of the most sought after lakes in this area of the world. They are so popular, in fact, that we had to book shuttles to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in advance. They sell out almost immediately! But they shuttle a ton of people, so the experience is almost lessened. At Lake Louise, especially, it felt like we were packed like sardines. To top it off, they were doing loud construction at the lodge there! Don't get me wrong, it was worth the trip for some incredible views; it makes sense why we aren't the only people interested in visiting! And we feel grateful to be able to go!
Moraine Lake was much more serene. People could spread out much more, and only the sounds of nature surrounded us. This was absolutely the highlight of our day. We walked the trail all the way to the end of the lake until we were basically alone!
